Bach Cantata Academy - Observers Programme

(A) Observing the Bach Cantata Vocal Masterclass

Date: 23-25 Jul 2016 (Sat-Mon)

Time: 10:30 – 18:00

- Led by Prof. Stephen Ng and Ms. Kenix Tsang, a group of local singers will receive intensive vocal training, learn Bach’s musical styles and performance practices and practise German in diction classes taught by German experts

(B)   Observing the Bach Cantata Conducting Masterclass 
Date: 26-31 Jul 2016 (Tue-Sun)
Time: 26, 27, 30 Jul 2016–14:30-17:30; 28, 29 Jul 2016–10:30-17:30
- Led by renowned conducting professor Prof. William Weinert (Eastman, USA), conducting participants will receive coaching on conducting technique and related practice, study Bach cantatas and learn to conduct the critically-acclaimed SingFest Choral Academy soloists, choir and orchestra

(C) Rehearsals & Concerts

Rehearsal dates:
- Choral Masterclass : 27-28 Jun (Mon-Tue) evenings & 30 Jun (Thu) morning
- Youth Chorus Rehearsals : Sunday afternoons from Jun to Jul 2016; Evenings from 25 to 30 Jul 2016
Concert dates:
- 2 Jul (Sat) 8pm “Paul Phoenix Choral Masterclass concert” at North Point Methodist Church
- 31 Jul (Sun) 5pm (BWV 4) & 8pm (BWV 21, 131, 226) at Yip Kit Chuen Concert Hall, Diocesan Boys’ School

Fee:
