It’s time for the fifth concert at the Fringe Club by one of the most beloved jazz orchestras in Hong Kong, La Petite Jazzy Jam. This time, LPJJ has invited their friends The Band Express to join them on a double date, so get ready to be swept away in the cozy atmosphere of the Fringe Dairy as these two friends take you from Swing to funk and beyond.
La Petite Jazzy Jazz burst onto the Hong Kong music scene in October 2015. Since then, they’ve performed in several jazz clubs and guest-performed at many events. This 8-piece jazz orchestra, unique in Hong Kong, offers you a delectable diversity of sounds, with a full rhythm section plus three brass and woodwind instruments.
The BandExpress, formed in Hong Kong under the leadership of Oliver Cura, performs covers from a variety of styles, ranging from jazz and RnB to funk rock and pop. As well as performing their own compositions, the band covers hits from great artists such as The Crusaders, Incognito, Swing Out Sister, Average White Band, Maroon 5, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys, to mention just a few.
