Rachel Cheung has won prizes and awards in international competitions such as the 28th Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition in Italy, the 16th Leeds International Pianoforte Competition in the UK and the 67th Geneva International Piano Competition in Switzerland. As an active soloist and chamber musician, Rachel has appeared in places such as Paris. London, Toronto. Poland. Ukraine, St. Petersburg, Italy, the United States. Taiwan, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore. She has also collaborated with numerous orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra with Edo de Waart, the Halle Orchestra with Sir Mark Elder and the Sydney Symphony with Vladimir Ashkenazy. Borned in Hong Kong, Rachel took her first piano lessons at the age of four. and later she was admitted at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where she studied with Professor Eleanor Wong. She continued her studies with Professor Peter Frankl at the Yale School of Music, where she graduated with Master of Music in May 2013. Rachel is a young Steinway Artist.
