Post-policy address: Opportunities for Cultural & Creative Industries in Hong Kong

According to the 2017 Policy Address announced by the government in October, Hong Kong cultural and creative industries have immense potential, to engage with more enterprises and community locally and enhance its influence beyond the borders of the city. There has been new policies and schemes for this industry, such as the new injection of $1 billion into the CreateSmart Initiative, as well as the opportunities that could be explored due to the Belt and Road Initiative.

Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association has invited representatives from Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and Home Affairs Bureau to talk about the policy directions and future planning on further developing cultural and creative industries in Hong Kong. It will be a great opportunity for local arts practitioners to understand the government policies better and have constructive dialogues with representatives of the government.
