Surprise yourself at the eye-opening percussion concert by renowned musician Li Biao and his ensemble! Seamlessly rearranged for percussion only, this eclectic performance transports listeners from nostalgia to exuberance, with music spanning an impressive range of eras and styles, from Vivaldi’s concerto to Piazzolla’s tango-inspired masterpieces. Sometimes energetic and explosive, sometimes spiritual and primitive, these six percussion virtuosos transform the atmosphere in a split second using only their hands and a pair of drum sticks.

Li Biao Percussion Group was founded in 2005 by Li, one of the few solo percussionists reputable in the international music scene and the first Chinese percussion professor teaching at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin since 2006. He boasts an extensive repertoire as a soloist and has collaborated with renowned orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and Bamberger Symphoniker. Together with five talented German and Danish ambassadors of percussion music, Li masters diverse musical styles, bridging classics and contemporary, East and West. Over the last decade, their captivating performances have brought them to seven countries in South America, multiple appearances in China including a recording for the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and to world-class concert halls like the Elbphilharmonie in 2018.
