Three-time Grammy and six-time ECHO award winner Thomas Quasthoff finally returns to the stage! He continues to defy boundaries with his 2019 Hong Kong debut in a programme of moving jazz classics including Cry Me A River, Stardust, Summertime and Imagine, delivered in his velvety, bass-baritone voice alongside his acclaimed ensemble.

“One of the great singers of our time and certainly one of the most remarkable of any time” Los Angeles Times

“Tasteful, well-wrought interpretations of outstanding songs” BBC Music Magazine
“Another facet of his artistry is revealed in all its laid-back wit” The Wall Street Journal
“Quasthoff’s jazz style suggests the artistry of Johnny Hartman crossed with the play-to-the-balcony power and glory of Broadway’s Brian Stokes Mitchell” Jazz Times

Three-time Grammy and six-time ECHO award winner Thomas Quasthoff has charmed countless audiences with his sublime voice and unique interpretation of German lieder, arias and beyond. After a decades-long career as singer, teacher, narrator and even actor, the world-class bass-baritone left the music world distraught when he retired from classical concert halls in 2012.

Six years later, Quasthoff makes his much-anticipated return to the stage: this time with songs from his latest jazz album Nice 'N' Easy. For his 2019 Hong Kong debut, this rare vocal virtuoso tears off the mantle of classical singer with his celebrated jazz trio. Quasthoff croons, whispers, scats and grooves, breathing life into every lyric and enveloping audiences with heart-warming renditions of classics including Cry Me A River, Stardust, Summertime, and Imagine. Come spend an evening with an awe-inspiring artist transcending all boundaries.
