Hong Kong Ballet’s Choreographer-in-Residence Hu Song Wei Ricky tackles Antonio Vivaldi’s landmark score, The Four Seasons, with his unique trademark style, creating an intense, dynamic atmosphere and expressing raw human emotion through exhilarating physicality. The Four Seasons will be performed live by rising star piano virtuoso Rachel Cheung joined by a driving string quintet.
Grappling with the role of classical ballet in the modern world, Holland-based American choreographer Stephen Shropshire begins a three-year artistic residency with Hong Kong Ballet with an intriguing new work set to sublime keyboard music by celebrated baroque composer George Frederic Handel.
