The Hong Kong Youth Orchestra, founded by Mr. Edmond Cheung in 2020, aims to provide a quality platform for rising elites to learn, interact and perform. Together we inspire excellence, present public concerts, and perform in major community events, led by acclaimed Asia conductor Leung Kin-Fung, Hong Kong Youth Orchestra celebrates and recognizes young musicians who have nurtured their love of orchestral music, learned essential life skills, had formative experiences, and made lifelong friends. Hong Kong Youth Orchestra is a place to gain valuable practical skills, which transforms students into professionals.

The Hong Kong Youth Orchestra acts as a springboard for exceptional young musicians who want to develop a multi-faceted career in music. These musicians aim to democratize Classical music, bringing new interpretations and unconventional works to audiences.

Hong Kong Youth Orchestra emerged out of a desire to fill a vocational and training gap for young musicians who are at the cusp of their professional careers. Members of the ensemble will gain teaching skills, access professional development opportunities, and develop skills that will assist them in launching a career as a versatile artist of the 21st century.
