A 2-day forum on arts-based cross curriculum creative learning
20 Teachers, 13 Creative Practitioners, 10 Principals, 6 Panel Chairs, 2 Keynotes, 1 Amazing COVID year!

Renowned local and overseas academics, leaders in arts & cultural sectors, participating schools and creative practitioners put their heads together on "Building Creative Classrooms" to enhance students’ motivation and creativity. Panel discussions explore important topics on student-centered learning,  cross-sector collaboration and school leaders’ vision for integrated arts-in-education. New ideas, experience and best practices will be shared.

The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection (AFTEC) is an award-winning bilingual Learning Theatre™ dedicated to nurturing the next generation of young people. We believe in the power of the arts to inspire, motivate and transform, and use an integrated arts-in-education approach to enhance education and encourage creative learning. Our acronym A.F.T.E.C. also stands for Arts For Transformative Educational Change.

Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club Arts-based Cross Curriculum Creative Learning Project (https://www.aftec.hk/ArtsBasedCrossCurriculum/) is a 3-year long endeavour designed to complement the Hong Kong school curriculum to foster whole person development and lifewide learning through arts in students from Keystage 2 (Primary 4-6). Participating schools in 2021-22 include:
