Revenged, and then?

Returning with a fortune to her hometown, her proposal was irresistible to the destitute villagers – kill the ex-lover who betrayed her and receive money to revitalise the town. So, executed the former lover they did, in the name of justice and humanity. Unsure about the 'lesson of justice' in this story of vengeance, he was told by a tree in the wilderness: 'Go tell this story a hundred times, you will find the answer.'
