Toby Tse

Tse Ho San Toby is currently a music student in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts studying the clarinet performances under Lorenzo Antonio Iosco. Tse previously studied with a number of well-known clarinetists in Hong Kong, such as Ms. Lau Wai, Mr. Anthony Wong and Dr. Daniel Chair. In 2017, Tse earned his LTCL Recital Diploma. Tse’s performances are highly recognised by various solo competitions. In the 2020 Napolinova Clarinet E-competition, Tse was awarded the 5th prize among global contestants. In the same year, he also won the 2nd prize in the society class of the Buffet Crampon Clarinet Competition. Recently, he participated in the 2021 Cluj International Music Competition. Tse has a broad expertise in ensemble playing as he has been the principal clarinettist in the Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band for 3 years. Currently, he is a member of the Owinds Wind Ensemble and the Clarinaization Ensemble.
