Hazalen Tang

Hazalen Tang graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020, studied with Benjamin Moermond. She then pursued Masters in Performance - Orchestral Artistry in Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is currently a Junior Fellow there. With the support of the Margaret B Adams Award, she studied bassoon and contra bassoon under the tutelage of Daniel Jemison, Helen Simons, Richard Ion and Dominic Morgan, and won a position in the Guildhall Wind Soloists ( 2021-2022 ). Hazalen has worked with Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, Young Musician Symphony Orchestra, London Conducting Academy’s Orchestra and North London Sinfonia. Hazalen was also selected to perform with the London Symphony Orchestra in the BMW Classics concert at Trafalgar Square and Triomphale Gala concert at St Paul’s Cathedral in 2022. She has participated in the Young Artist Summer Program by Curtis Institute of Music ( Philadelphia, 2019 ), Voksenåsen Academy Winds ( Oslo, 2022 ), and German Nordic Youth Philharmonic ( Berlin, 2023 ).
