Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2023: Revisiting the Glory Days ─ The Legacy of Leslie and Anita

2023 is the 20th anniversary of the passing of Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui. The Hong Kong Film Archive, after presenting the programme “Glory Days: When Leslie Met Anita” in 2018, is curating and launching “Revisiting the Glory Days─The Legacy of Leslie and Anita”, a package of 20 films, including the screening of the festival opening Who’s the Woman, Who’s the Man (1996), featuring the luminous stars. This programme will focus on their films made in the 1980s through the new Millennium in an effort to examine the role played by cinema in the glorious development of Hong Kong popular culture.

- In response to overwhelming demands to the screening programme, additional screenings of five films of the programme have been scheduled for September and October, which are the birth months of Lesile Cheung and Anita Mui respectively. Tickets of the additional screenings will be available at URBTIX from May 19.
