Overview

1. Mandala Thangka Workshop
Dr. Judith Cornell, a well-known mandala scholar in the United States, once proposed the
curative effect of creating mandala:
""Because it has the ability of regeneration and healing to open the hidden inner
psychological state, and has the effect of soothing and relaxing the body and mind.
The meditation-like state produced when painting can open our hearts to accept the
healing brought by unconditional love. Healing. It also brings a sense of pleasure in
integrating the layers of the psyche.”

Content:
- Learn about basic Thangka history
- Experience traditional thangka painting
- Learn to use traditional Thangka canvas, natural mineral pigments
- Let go of the daily worries and enjoy a moment of drawing

More Information:
- Thangka is a scroll painting painted on cloth. In addition to Buddhist content, there
are also creations of non-religious elements, including history, folk tales and scenery
covering almost all the content of life in Tibet, and it is known as the ""Encyclopedia
of Tibet"".
- The hand-made canvas used in the workshop is made according to traditional
techniques. It takes two days from sewing thread to brushing and polishing.
- The natural minerals and plant pigments are all hand-grinded. It includes coral, pearl,
malachite, lapis lazuli, azurite, orpiment, realgar, cinnabar, mica, cyan, saffron, indigo,
and etc.

2. Co-create journey
Nature changes every day, as if it is effortlessly creating different scenery every day. People are exposed to endless information, and everyone’s mind is filled with things from different categories. When it’s hard to relax, it’s better to learn from nature’s creativity and “think out of the box.” Creation is like an unknown journey, an opportunity to listen to our hearts, and co-creation can "listen" to our broader hearts.
We will use different materials, paints, fabrics, needlework, etc. to piece together a "raw material". Next, we will create a fabric work in the workshop. The entire process will start from within, without any expectations, to experience the natural flow and feelings it brings, and to record the process by handcrafting. Experience a meditate craft art journey and discover our inner senses which come from nature.

4. Printmaking Workshop: Baking and Desserts
The interest of printmaking lies in its indirect and repetitive production characteristics. Printing effects often reflect plans and accidents. This time we will use several different methods to print, and look for story clues to complete personal printmaking story works.
