Running errands refers to people undertaking short journeys to get trivial tasks done. For the sighted, city life is full of convenience. They can effortlessly navigate through passages, elevators, and steps with their eyesight and access to every possible means. The Buildings Ordinance and the Barrier Free Access Design Menu stipulated in The Disability Discrimination Ordinance mandates the installation of braille maps, audible devices, and tactile guide paths on the pathways and in the internal facilities of a building. Although these accessible facilities are merely "trivial matters" for compliance purposes to the public, they are vital necessities for people with visual impairment. These hard-won accessible measures not only prevent the visually impaired from being excluded but also allow them to keep up with the times and strive for a more inclusive society.
