亞歷山大・博達卓夫

Hailed as an international music ambassador, Alexander Boldachev has led the harp into a whole new era – his unparalleled technical abilities has stunned the music world with groundbreaking repertoire that was historically thought to be physically impossible to play on the harp, and his composing talent has uncovered new colours and techniques which continues to expand the harp literature immensely. He is well-versed in writing exciting new harp concertos for orchestras, and many solo / chamber crossover arrangements which had given a second life to both classical and modern pop/rock music.

Born in St Petersburg and raised in Zurich, Alexander started playing the harp and piano at age 5, composing at 6, and commenced his international performance career with orchestras since 8 years old. He then obtained his masters from Zurich University of the Arts (on Harp, Piano, Composing, and Conducting), and won numerous awards worldwide. He has been invited to more than 30 countries as a recitalist, soloist, and occasionally, conductor. His sold-out performances have graced prestigious venues such as the Carnegie Hall and Musikverein. He is currently the exclusive artist of the world-leading harp makers Salvi Harps (Italy) and Lyon&Healy Harps (USA), the founder of Zurich Harp Festival, and co-founder of the World Harp Day, permanent invitee of the World Harp Congress, guest soloist of the Bolshoi theatre, and guest professor of the Conservatory in Milan.
