"REBUILD by Visible Music," presented by 432 1 Music and brought together by Thomas Lo ( Curator ), Patrick Lui ( Music ), and Desmond Leung (Sound-interactive Art), is an immersive journey that delves into the profound realm of frequency and rebuilding. As the second captivating chapter of the "Visible Music.Touchable Notes" project, it seamlessly continues the narrative that began in the inaugural show, "The Evolution(s)".
In this transformative experience, we reconnect with nature and embrace harmonious frequency. The performance unfolds in three mesmerizing parts, each offering a unique and captivating exploration:
First, the ethereal soundscape is created by translating plant biofeedback into music, combined with algorithmic composition and improvisation. It allows us to immerse ourselves in a world where nature and improvisational jazz notes communicate. This part guides our visual and auditory senses, leading us on an enchanting journey of sight and sound.
Next, we invite the audience to participate in an interactive session with the Disklavier grand piano, making them a part of this musical creative journey. The piano responds to the intentions of the audience, merging their unique participations with the melodic tapestry.
Finally, the performance culminates in a jazz trio and an immersive mural painting inspired by nature. Led by jazz pianist Patrick Lui, the trio, featuring bassist Wong Tak-chung and drummer Dean Li, weaves together harmonious, rhythmic, and improvisational music. Multimedia artist Desmond Leung seamlessly transforms musical notes into organic abstract painting elements, drawing inspiration from soil, water, sun, minerals, air, and light. Imagery of natural elements intertwines with the music, creating a synesthetic feast for the senses.
Throughout the entire concert, whether it's the musicians, artists, or audience, everyone becomes part of a dynamic and improvisational performance, merging with the realness of nature, jazz grooves, and interactive art. This immersive artistic musical experience not only rebuilds our connection with nature and human interaction but also nourishes our souls.
"REBUILD by Visible Music" invites you to immerse yourself in an extraordinary fusion of music, art, and nature, where the chaotic world rebuilds, boundaries of perception dissolve, and the collective spirit soars.
