簡介

The session will look at projects in the UK which use arts and culture to create change in our cities and towns. The session will draw on

☑️the impact on the City of Coventry being UK City of Culture in 2021 and how culture was successful in delivering positive levels of civic pride, wellbeing, economic investment, and environmental improvements.
☑️evidence from other place based cultural achievements like the UK Creative People and Places project.
☑️Jonothan's work with the Sprit of 2012 organizations that invests in volunteering and place-based change through culture, sports, and heritage.
☑️considering these examples from the UK and an ecosystem theory of change planning and evaluation process to build the partnerships with communities and other local stakeholders that are necessary for culture-led place transformations.

In discussion we will consider how these examples might inform a culture-led approach to change in the Hong Kong context.
