The University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Choir Concert: Popera

Coinciding with the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law’s 55th anniversary, the Faculty’s very own Law Alumni Choir invites you to celebrate the long-time relationships forged with fellow alumni by attending our upcoming concert, a major event of the anniversary celebrations. Our performers comprise a full choir and accompanying orchestra, the vocalists and instrumentalists of which are either graduates or students of our beloved Faculty. Every single performer has spent months practising every note, pairing heart and soul into the music.

As its name suggests, Popera will be pop music performed in an operatic singing style. Our Choir Chairman and Conductor, Mr Jeffrey Sham will be presenting a repertoire of well-known popera songs made famous by divo and diva Josh Groban, Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Celine Dion and Il Divo, just to name a few. Familiar titles include Adagio, Time To Say Goodbye, Amigos Para Siempre and Hallelujah.
