Overview

The Hong Kong Academy of Ballet’s Summer Intensive Programme offers professional ballet training for ballet enthusiasts ages 5-18, with intensive courses designed specifically for young dancers. The programme includes a wide range of classes tailored to the needs of each age group, including classical ballet technique, conditioning and flexibility, pointe training, ballet variations, pas de deux, contemporary dance, ballet anatomy, repertory and even music appreciation, among others. At the end of the programme, students (classes ages 7-18) will have a showcase to share their ballet journey with family and friends with an inspiring performance. Afterwards, participants will each receive an official certificate in a short presentation ceremony.

Our faculty teachers, ballet masters and local professional teachers will be instructing the students. Additionally, we are honoured to host two prominent international guest teachers - Singapore Ballet Academy Principal Han Kee Juan and former English National Ballet School director and current Ballet Master at Chongqing Ballet Carlos Valcárcel. Kee has trained and coached many dancers, including principals and soloists at prominent US companies and international ballet competitions prize winners. Carlos has choreographed pieces, coached numerous principal ballerinas and served as a judge at international ballet competitions. Their expertise and coaching will bring out the best in all of the students, and we can’t wait to see what everyone will accomplish together.

Join us this summer to unlock your potential and take your ballet skills to the next level!
