Uschik Choi

Uschik Choi is a versatile musician who regularly performs in various formats. He studied violoncello with Prof Schwab and later with Prof Eschenburg at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, while also majoring in piano at the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof Becker. Uschik Choi made a name for himself as an orchestral musician in the orchestra academy of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and has since been regularly invited as a substitute. He is also a sought-after pianist and teacher who has worked as a répétiteur and assistant teacher in various masterclasses. After completing his studies, Uschik Choi has increasingly focussed on new music and is a permanent member of the ensemble for new music L'art pour l'art. His passion for chamber music has led him to other ensembles such as the Asian Art Ensemble, Reflexion K, Ensemble Mosaik and KNM Berlin. He is currently a scholarship holder at the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt am Main.
