The Hong Kong Tango Orquesta, arguably the city's only authentic Argentine music ensemble, is presenting a FREE mini-concert! Adhering to the esteemed "Orquesta Típica" formations found in the birthplace of the tango, this passionate group has been meticulously honing their repertoire, under the guidance of Taiwan's famed bandoneonista, Mark Wu Yung Lung.
Our passionate members, including doctor-turned-bandoneon enthusiast, accordionists taking on the fiendishly challenging bandoneon, HKPhil professionals embracing the rustic techniques of tango string playing, will be thrilled to perform an enthralling selection of tangos, including arrangements by the golden era greats such as Anibal Triolo, Carlos Di Sarli, and Juan d'Arienzo.
All tango aficionados are cordially invited to attend this free, passion-filled event.
