蘇曉亮

Born in Hong Kong, Henry So started learning trumpet at the age of 9. He received his early education from Kelvin Ngai and Adam Luftman. Now continuing his Bachelor studies in classical trumpet at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Paul Beniston, Anne McAneney, and Will O'Sullivan. Henry's dedication to his craft led him to participate in masterclasses with respected trumpeters like Tom Hooten, Phillip Cobb, Fabiano Cudiz, and Alan Thomas.

Henry served as Principal Trumpet in both the Orchestra and Symphonic Band, during his time at St Stephen's College. He also toured Australia and America with these ensembles. He contributed to the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, Guildhall Wind Orchestra, Silk Street Sinfonietta, Ponte London Orchestra, Hong Kong Youth Orchestra ( Maestro Art School of Music ) and many more. Performed in esteemed venues such as the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, Barbican Hall, and St John Smith Square.

Beyond playing the trumpet, Henry developed an interest in conducting, starting with choir and chamber orchestra at St Stephen's College. Recently, he founded the Balfour Wind Ensemble and made his conducting debut. Henry is now expanding his conducting skills under David Corkhill and Tim Redmond's mentorship.
