Annual Concert 2024 features a wind band repertoire inspired by stars, the moon and the sun, including Yagisawa Satoshi’s To Be Vivid Stars. Yagisawa’s work depicts a group of wind music students overcoming arduous training, like shooting stars flying across the endless night and finally collecting into a dazzling, unique constellation.
Since 2019, Hong Kong Performers Winds (HKPW) has launched Forte! Play with HKPW, a summer training programme that offers an opportunity for young musicians to play together and share wind band music with the wider community. This year's Forte! participants will showcase their fruitful training with HKPW and HKPW Junior at the Annual Concert 2024. Join us to celebrate HKPW’s upcoming 20th anniversary and the sparkling future of the Hong Kong wind music scene.
