Embark on a Magical Journey: A Musical Celebration of Nature!
The Young Pro Platform (YPP) musicians present a dynamic blend of music, theatre, and dance to raise awareness about the East Asian-Australasian Flyway in Mai Po Nature Reserve, a crucial habitat for the endangered Black-faced Spoonbills.
Revel in a rich selection of musical masterpieces inspired by the incredible migrating journey of the Black-faced Spoonbills, including Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, Pastoral, Kam Shing Hei's Time Shadows, Yoshimatsu's Saxophone Concerto, Cyber Bird and Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in A major, The Cuckoo. Additionally, the performance features live puppetry and the World Wide Fund Hong Kong’s exclusive footage of the Mai Po Nature Reserve. Attendees are also encouraged to tour the Mai Po Nature Reserve to observe the Black-faced Spoonbills and visit its habitat, enriching the whole concert experience.
The performance is directed and conducted by Sharon Andrea Choa, with artistic advice and choreography by Justyne Li.
