Overview

Groove Bay is a friendly one-day music and arts event, celebrating all things jazzy, groovy, and fun. Held at the newly built East Kowloon Cultural Centre, it is specifically designed for families, kids, and young adults - featuring live jazz musical performances, art workshops, and food and beverage stalls.

Immerse yourself in the rich sounds of live musical performances by artists such as renowned jazz guitarist Eugene Pao, the "godfather of jazz" Ted Lo, Golden Melody Award-winning guitarist and composer Alan Kwan, harmonica sensation CY Leo, acclaimed guitarist Teriver Cheung, the energetic swing dance troupe Swing Pocket, and more.

Beyond the captivating tunes, Groove Bay also offers a lineup of interactive art workshops, including Asalato DIY, scat singing and more. Featuring playful artwork created by celebrated local illustrator Zoie Lam @zlism , Groove Bay transforms the venue into a vibrant experience for music and art lovers of all ages!

Our show rundown is finally live. We are transforming two previously unseen spaces of the East Kowloon Cultural Centre ( EKCC ) into stages:
The Spot, atrium of the EKCC, will host 5 duets and solo sets by Hong Kong’s finest jazz musicians! With the support from Tom Lee, we are bringing in a Yamaha grand piano to let the music ring.

The Café, situated on the right side of The Spot, is currently a vacant coffee shop and will showcase the talent and diverse styles of emerging young jazz groups.

Jazz Society is the venue partner of East Kowloon Cultural Centre. Groove Bay is the "Unbox EKCC" programme of the East Kowloon Cultural Centre.
