Have you ever experienced a moment when your mind and body suddenly relax when you are really exhausted? It's not quite a sleep, but a state between reality and dreams, where strange and intriguing images flood your mind. Sometimes, our subconscious makes decisions for us, seemingly coincidental moments that are a result of fate and inspiration giving the birth to creations.
Hong Kong renowned photographer @wingshya collaborates with Polish artist @mateusz_kolek , who received great acclaim at the Manggha Museum in Krakow, Poland. They will be holding the "We Don't Make the Decision" exhibition at @ztoryhome for the first time. The exhibition will showcase Wing Shya's photographs alongside Mateusz Kolek's artwork, as well as unique pieces combining both artists' styles. The show also will feature the pop-up art store showcasing a series of products designed by Polish sustainable fashion designer @pat_guzik .
For Wing Shya, the works displayed in the exhibition are captured unconsciously, moments frozen in time without awareness, reflecting a lifetime of capturing light and shadow. Mateusz Kolek presents familiar urban backdrops in vibrant colors and unique perspectives, creating an atmosphere detached from reality that evokes unprecedented emotions. Scenes like Goldfish Street and the Star Ferry, typically mundane to us, become sources of fantastical creations through Mateusz's eyes.
