As part of the St Mary's 125th Anniversary Celebration events, our drama this year is Under A Banner. The title comes from the first line of our school song and the play will be a celebration of the life of a student in St Mary's, as seen through the eyes of Suzy, a girl whose journey we follow from her first day in the school to her graduation.
The production is a multi-media show with both live action on stage and archive footage from events in St Mary's, past and present. It is a musical play with songs and dances which will end with a grand parade of banners, representing the various activities students can take part in - as well as the guiding principles which staff from the school's foundation, through to the present day, aspire to uphold and pass on to generations of St Marians.
Under A Banner will be performed in Drama Week at 7:00 p.m. on March 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8, 2025.
