In the dance of life, we journey far,
From childhood laughter to where we are.
Each step a memory, each turn a song,
A journey of joy, both brave and bold.
In the pauses of life, beauty unfolds,
Like rests in a melody, where silence resounds.
What lingers in stillness, what landscapes unfold,
A landscape of feelings, where connection increases.
Together we breathe, together we shine,
In this dance of life, our spirits entwine.
Experience the transformative power of dance at Dancing Park on 15-16 March 2025 at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’ Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre. This finale presentation is the culmination of the Jockey Club Dance Well Project, which has provided participants with enriching dance experiences at galleries, museums, and theatres over the past three years. Here, we celebrate not just the artistry of Dance Well participants but also the belief that everyone is an artist, capable of expressing themselves through movement.
Dancing Park features two dynamic performances by 30 dedicated Dance Well dancers. We will also present findings from the project’s research study examining the effects of dance on individuals with Parkinson’s disease. This research underscores how dance can enhance physical health, psychological well-being, and social connections for participants. Throughout the presentation, Dance Well dancers will share personal narratives that illustrate the profound impact dance has had on their lives.
Join us at Dancing Park, where resilience meets creativity, and every dancer shines brightly as they take centre stage to share their stories and embrace their inner and outer beauty.
