"Sanctuary" work-in-progress - Celine Laurelle TANG (Hong Kong)
In synchrony we breathe,
Pulses thrumming, never still.
We wander, halt, perceive,
Entwined with it—yet at times severed;
Within this realm we dwell,
Absorbing each other's essence,
It metamorphoses into the faith of existence,
Nourishment for life's journey.
Do you feel it?
The searching, the symbiosis,
The reverence, the solitude,
Under the same vast sky,
Truly, a sanctuary for all creation
"Of lands and lullabies" - Hoi-Ying Melodie LAI (Hong Kong)
Is there truly a place in this world that is safe, stable, and still? Where do we belong, when the land is ever shifting?
This performance uses poetic body language and text to weave together stories of land and belonging. It explores the complex emotions and thoughts on how our identities are rooted in the "land."
Like a flowing poem, you can drift freely in your imagination, gently embraced by a world that is both fleeting and real. Let me invite you to come here for a while to reconnect with the places that define us.
