Overview

Do you know how garments are made?

From a cotton boll, to yarn, then to fabric, we invite participants to experience the fundamental process of textile making. The collective effort and outcome will be collected and exhibited at CHAT’s Winter Programme 2022.

Get some inspiration from the crafts duo, Cecilia Lai and Barnard Chan from Breakthrough Art Studio, as they demonstrate the application of different looms and textile machines on the following days:

Date: 28 August, 4, 11, 18 September 2022

Time: 2:00pm

Facilitators consisting of different community members and CHAT’s Learning and Community team will provide on-site guidance and assistance.
Designated time slots and limited seats are arranged each day for registration. Free enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Experience level: No experience required. Suitable for participants aged 8 or above; participants aged 8 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
