Overview

The price of private housing is far beyond the affordability of the general public, some choose to live in micro or even nano flats, some choose to voluntarily lower their own salaries, just to be eligible for public housing.

Mr. Charles Ho from HKCSS and Mr. Chun Chieh CHAN from OURs (Taiwan) will share about their their experience on driving pilot projects on alternative housing models in HK and Taiwan.

Mr. Charles Ho is the Project Director (Social Housing), Policy Research and Advocacy in The Hong Kong Council of Social Services. Charles believes in the importance of co-creation with different sectors to strengthen civil society capacity for improving the wellbeing of people, particularly the disadvantaged.

Mr Chun-Chieh CHAN is the principal researcher of the Organization of Urban Re-s, which is a Taiwanese NGO and NPO. Mr Chun-Chieh CHAN, the speaker of the Seminar was responsible for focusing on urban space transformation, and criticism of policy Issues. He actively proceeds from the Taiwan residency perspective to promote social communication and improvement, he also participates in various housing policy discussions and writes relative articles.
