Over the past few seasons, CHAT has been experimenting with many exciting ways to dye textiles using natural processes. In this workshop, participants will be able to dye using CHAT’s homegrown indigo paste and learn how to turn kitchen waste into exciting textile dyes.
For this collaboration with KOKO Coffee Roasters, a beloved coffee shop at The Mills, CHAT will upcycle coffee grounds and avocado pits and skins to develop dyeing vats. Join us with family and friends at The Deck of The Mills for a festive outdoor session of natural dyeing and learn how to upcycle waste.
Experience level: No prior experience is needed. Suitable for children aged 6 and above. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

Participants may purchase a tenugui (Japanese cotton towel) from CHAT at $HK30 per piece. Kindly note we cannot accommodate bigger pieces such as dresses, jackets or garments in heavyweight fabrics.
