"Bhagavad Gita" — Yoga Wisdom for All

“How Can One Enjoy the True Pleasure if They Haven’t Felt the Real Pain?” — Tang Shu-wing's most remarkable work over times

An Eternal Chant from Heaven
"Bhagavad Gita", which originated from the world-renowned epic Mahabharata, is a true philosophical poem that has had a profound impact on literature and spirituality worldwide. “Bhagavad” refers to “The Venerable”; "Bhagavad Gita" means the “Chant of God”. The dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna, a warrior, reveals the three paths of Indian Yoga: Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga.

By fulfilling their “Dharma” without selfish motives, everyone can be liberated from the wheel of samsara and granted the state of moksha. "Bhagavad Gita" is a poem where all of us can learn the truth through life and death. It can help individuals discover their path in this unsettling world.

A Tale of Fighting for the Truth — "Mahabharata"
The story of "Mahabharata", an oral epic that took 700 years to complete, recounts the story of how two camps of cousins, the Kauravas headed by Duryodhana and the Pandavas led by Yudhishthira, went to war over the kingdom during the Kuru dynasty in ancient India.

Duryodhana, who despised Yudhishthira’s proclamation as King of Kings, tricked Yudhishthira into gambling and forced the Pandavas into exile for twelve years. When Duryodhana broke their agreement and demanded another twelve years of exile, Yudhishthira raised a war against him. Initially hesitant to fight his own kin, Arjuna, the commander of the Pandavas, gained wisdom from Krishna through "Bhagavad Gita", ultimately fighting for the Pandavas and leading them to victory, with Yudhishthira ascending the throne.

A Creation That Transcends Theatre
Tang Shu-wing and Chong Mui Ngam, collaborating again after "Titus 2.0", have crafted a masterpiece that distills their personal reflections on "Bhagavad Gita". The surrealistic and mythological theatre space design offers a glimpse of transcending life and death, with famous actress Mandy Wong and actor Chu Pak Him, and a group of outstanding designers and energetic performers to create an innovate and ground-breaking theatrical experience. It is an artistic creation that surpasses the boundaries of theatre.
