Join us for an enchanting evening of classical music as soloist and players from our passionate young orchestra brings to life the concerto works of the legendary composers-- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.
The evening starts with the first movement, Allegro, from Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, K.314. Known for its lyrical beauty and expressive depth, the piece showcases the unique timbre and capabilities of the oboe. We shall continue to experience the magic of Mozart with the first movement, Allegro, from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, K.622. This piece, one of Mozart's final completed works, stands as one of the most sublime and profound pieces in the wind repertoire.
Please continue to enjoy our programme with the Borodin String Quartet No. 2. The first movement, Allegro moderato, is a beautiful and lyrical piece that showcases the rich and expressive sound of the string quartet.
Next comes the first movement, Allegro, from Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K.216. The solo violin engages in a vibrant dialogue with the orchestra, weaving intricate melodies that showcase the instrument's range and expressiveness. Then, immerse yourself in the world of classical music with the third movement, Rondo, from Mozart's Flute Concerto in D Major, K. 314. This movement is a perfect example of Mozart's ability to balance structure and freedom, creating music that is both technically demanding and deeply emotive.
Last but not least, our concertmaster will perform the third movement, Rondo, from Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major, Op.61. This is one of the most celebrated works in the violin repertoire and a testament to Beethoven's genius.
