Overview

"Music is the one thing that we all understand that we don't understand"

What are the mechanisms behind melodies and rhythms that could ignite certain sentiments? Since when and how did music in film come to be what it is? The synthesis of image and sound tells moving stories. Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and journalist Matt Schrader's Score: A Film Music Documentary is an introduction to the world of the film score, a unique music genre that plays a vital role in the cinematic experience, featuring interviews with more than 40 composers including Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and David Arnold.
