Violet Shum

Violet Shum spent her early years to study painting from a portrait artist, Wong Kum. She earned her Bachelor Degree of Arts in Fine Art from the RMIT University, earned a Degree of in Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and in 2017 she attended an Art Specialist Course of Sculpture at Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and gained a Creative Award. While she is interested in transforming industrial materials, such as stainless steel mesh and wire, natural elements also plays an intricate part in her works, which give her a multi-faceted platform to show the viewers an intertwined world of digital tech and natural beauty.
