Kiyeol Kim, hailing from South Korea, is a distinguished musician with a remarkable educational journey. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance from Seoul National University in 2011, followed by the attainment of his Master of Music and Performance Diploma at the New England Conservatory in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Furthering his dedication to musical excellence, he achieved a PDOS ( Performance Diploma of Orchestra Studying ) at the renowned Indiana University Jacob Music School in 2017, where his exceptional talents earned him numerous scholarships.

Under the tutelage of esteemed mentors like Eunsik Choi, Martha Katz, and Edward Gazouleas, Kiyeol Kim enriched his musical prowess through immersive master classes led by world-renowned musicians such as Nobuko Imai and James Dunham.

Kiyeol's orchestral contributions are marked by collaborations with eminent conductors including Andris Nelsons, Myunghoon Chung, and Charles Dutoit, showcasing his artistry and versatility as a performer.

Beyond his achievements as a performer, Kiyeol Kim is an influential educator, having delivered impactful lectures at the Singapore National Youth Orchestra Viola Masterclass and providing invaluable guidance to students at prestigious institutions like Macau Anglican College, Chungnam Art High School, Yewon Art School, and Sunhwa Art School.

His passion for music has led him to participate in renowned music festivals, notably the Tanglewood Music Festival, enriching his musical experiences and expanding his artistic horizons.

Kiyeol's tenure in orchestral settings includes serving as an assistant principal in the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and contributing his talents as a violist to the Macau Orchestra from 2017 to 2023, where his commitment to musical excellence was evident.

Presently, Kiyeol Kim brings his wealth of experience and expertise to the esteemed faculty of THISDL, Tsinghua International School Daoxiang Lake, where he continues to inspire and mentor aspiring musicians, nurturing a new generation of musical talents.
