Ben Yuen

Ben Yuen was born in Hong Kong. He became as a full-time professional drama actor in Ching Ying Theatre Co. since 1988. He participated aggressively in the role of playwright and director in many performances. He further studied and graduated the master degree in Hong Kong Academy for Performing Act (Director) in 2011.

He participated more than a hundreds drama performance including “Freshly Frozen School”, “Les Miserables”, “Alive in the Mortuary”, “Macbeth” and Musical “First Date”. “Macbeth” was also toured at Globe Theatre in London and other Europe countries.

Ben directed many drama performances including “Song of Grief”, “The Reminiscences” and “The house of 72 tenants”. He awarded the best supporting actor (comedy/farce) in the drama “Boy Gets Girl” at the 28th Hong Kong Drama Awards.

Ben also participated in many film productions, such as “Fagara”, “The White Storm 2 - Drug Lords”, “Integrity”, “Shock Wave”, “Trivisa”, “Overhead 3”, “Rule #1” and “King of Comedy” with Stephen Chow.

He was nominated the best actor in the film “Leaving to Stay” at 1st Chinese Short Film Media Awards and the best actor in the film “Suk Suk” at the 56th Golden Horse Awards.

He won the best actor (Feature Film) in the film “Head-To-Tail” at the 2nd Hong Kong Film Art International Film Festival. In the film “Tracey”, he won the best supporting actor in the 38th Hong Kong Film Award and the 55th Golden Horse Awards. Ben also took parts in many TVs Hong Kong, including “Below the Luon Rock Series”, “ICAC case story projects”, “Next Exit”, “Plan B”, “Afterlife Firm”, “Lost in Shell”, “Till Death Do Us Part” and “Showman’s Show” etc.
