Lee Wai Lok graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong with a major of Philosophy, and Master Programme of Drama School in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, major in Playwriting with Distinction.
He was nominated for Best Script at the 32’s Hong Kong Drama awards, for Script / Playwright of the Year at the IATC(HK) Critics Awards 2023 and for Best Script at the 15th Hong Kong Theatre Libre for Leave him in the dust.
During his studies, he was awarded Cheung Tat Ming Playwriting Scholarship, The Future Playwright Scholarship and The Society of APA Scholarships.
His recent plays included Stay with the Flow and The Ward by Hong Kong Repertory Theatre; Draft My Life and In Restaurant We Trust by Wedraman; Leave him in the dust by Theatre Formula; Parting is Never Easy by Windmill Grass Theatre; A Journey to Nowhere by Fiesta Space; Withered Womb and The Lower Depths by Chung Ying Theatre Company; Extinction Feast by The Theatre Practice; Solar Hero (read) by Dramoxic.
He is a playwright and drama tutor.
