Vincent Yim

Born in 2002, Vincent started his studies in piano at age 5, and in trumpet at age 8. Vincent is a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship at the Juilliard School and is currently studying under Mr. Raymond Mase, former principal trumpet of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and Mr. Chris Martin, principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

In the summer of 2022, Vincent joined the Pacific Music Festival’s Orchestra Academy, having the opportunity to study with Mr. Tamás Velenczei, former principal trumpet of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and Mr. Mark J. Inouye, principal trumpet of the San Francisco Symphony.

Over the past decade, Vincent has been an active participant in various orchestras. He performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Macau Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. He was also the principal trumpet at the Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra.
