Multi-disciplinary artist Wilfred Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He formed an experimental art group HerStory Polygon with young artists at 2011. The group mainly focuses on
- Verbatim theatre on Gender issue
- Aesthetics of contemporary theatre
Works include “Menstruation Twitters” (2012), “In Search of The ReXXlution Scene(s)” (2012), “Panorama of Gluttony of The Last Rendezvous” presented by On&On Theatre Workshop (2012), “Time with Antonin Artaud” (2014), “Love and information” (2014), “Kitchen of her own” (2015), “Hyst()ry” (2015), “Myosotis” (2015). In 2012, we were invited to host workshop of the theatre exchange programme by National Theatre of Scotland. In 2014, we had a collaborative performance “Ohitorisama” with Muhosha (Fukuoka, Japan).
Beside the works from HerStory Polygon, Wilfred is also an actor. He recently participated in “1967” by Pants Production and “Love and Information”, etc.
Wong has also been involved in multimedia video creation and intended to research the aesthetics of combining interactive multimedia and theatre. The works include “Red Poppies” by Hong Kong Dance Company, “M-cident” by DanceArt (which was awarded Hong Kong Dance Alliance Dance Award-Outstanding Dance Production) etc. Apart from the video within performance, his short films include “The Rootless City” (Bronze award from M21 Very Hong Kong Short Film Festival), “She is a lady, me also.” etc.
