Belilios Old Girls Chinese Orchestra

Founded in 2010, the Belilios Old Girls' Chinese Orchestra comprises former students of Belilios Public School Chinese Orchestra ( BPSCO ). The mission of the orchestra is to play music with dedication while embracing the joy it brings. In addition to upholding the spirit of promoting Chinese music inherited from their alma mater's Chinese orchestra, they also offer diverse forms of support to the young girls.

The orchestra actively engages in various musical activities to maintain their bonding with their alma mater. They successfully hosted the BPSCO 25th Anniversary Concert in 2013 and the 30th Anniversary Concert in 2018. In 2020, they collaborated with BPSCO to participate in the "HKCO Net Festival - Through Musicking, We Are One" organised by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Their performance was among the top 13 entries selected for publication on the official public playlist. They were also invited to share their experiences on the RTHK-2 radio program, 'Made in Campus', discussing their efforts in bringing the young girls together and supporting them during orchestra rehearsals amidst the pandemic, so as to share the joy of music and maintain the sisterhood bond. In 2021, the orchestra took part in the Belilios Public School 130th Anniversary Concert 'Reverdie'.

In addition, the orchestra has been invited as guest performers to the Tune of Pandora Annual Concert, as well as participating in numerous activities and performances for social welfare organisations, such as Lamma Island ( North ) Rural Committee and Shui Hong Nursing Home, bringing warmth to the community through Chinese music.

With the Belilios Public School Chinese Orchestra celebrating its 35th anniversary, we are dedicated to making meaningful contributions and carry forward the cherished spirit of Chinese music at our alma mater.
