Louis To Wun

Louis To Wun, a versatile contemporary artist, blends Chinese and Western painting, sculpture, candy sculpting, and bamboo art into his creation. His journey began on Lamma Island in Hong Kong in the 1990s, shaping his fiery paintings. To Wun's works received Awards of Distinction in the Phillippe Charriol Foundation Modern Art Competition and have been exhibited globally such as in the UK and The Bahamas. Driven by a deep passion, To Wun fully embraced two ancient crafts: the intricate art of candy sculpting and the delicate craft of bamboo sculpting. His commitment goes beyond mastering these techniques; he strives to preserve these cultural gems for future generations while earning commissions from around the world. In 2022, his solo exhibition at GalaxyArt under Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation in Macau showcased innovative works that blend Cubism with bamboo sculpting, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and celebrating the fusion of old and new.
