Composers and musicians from Hong Kong, Korea and Japan, along with the AsianArt Ensemble from Berlin, will come together to showcase their sheer talent and creativity, promising a dynamic and immersive performance experience on July 15 at Shaw Auditorium.
The program will cover music pieces spanning from traditional folk and court music and intercultural experimental compositions by contemporary musicians. The internationally acclaimed AsianArt Ensemble, featuring a captivating blend of instruments from China, Japan and Korea harmoniously combined with Western strings, will be complemented by the remarkable skills of gamin, a specialist in traditional Korean wind. Under the baton of artistic director Il-Ryun Chung, they will showcase compositions, including those by Koji Nakano from Japan and Ka Shu (Kenneth) Tam from Hong Kong.
